Curacao Affiliate Trip

Curacao Affiliate Trip

The beginning of our amazing trip started after a heavy few days at Amsterdam CAC Conference.  Everyone met nice and early on Saturday morning to make their way to Amsterdam Airport for the 9 hour flight to Curacao.  For some the 8.30am start was just a continuation of the previous night’s celebrations!

Landing in the Caribbean climate at 4pm the same day wasn’t enough to stop the party, and after a quick change from the Amsterdam weather clothes to the Caribbean clothes, appropriate for the sunshine, everyone headed out to explore what the Marriott Resort & Emerald Casino Hotel ha d to offer. With the hotel right on top of the beach, the beach bar and beach was occupied pretty quickly with everyone who needed a drink after the long flight.

Dinner that evening at The Governour was a great success with interesting cocktails being brought to the table!  Sitting in the balcony for dinner enabled us to watch the cruise liner leave the Island for its next destination (We found there were new cruise liners every day on the island).   After the dinner, everyone was pretty tired and headed back to the hotel for some rest. Those who couldn’t resist temptation, sneaked into the hotel Casino to try their luck at one of the many games offered there.

Day 2 started with another early start.  In the minibus, everyone was excited to explore the island on the 4 wheeler quad bikes – and with one each, the race was on!

The views on the quad bikes were amazing; up and down the mountains, up to the bat cave, along the coastline and that was just for starters!  25 miles later we were all muddy and ready for an ice cold beer...off to Mambo’s beach bar!

The afternoon started with lunch at Mambo’s, right on the beach front, and with everyone covered in mud, the dip in the sea was essential!  Around 5 hours later we left Mambos (after happy hour of course!) and feeling ready for the rest of the evening, everyone headed back to the hotel to get ready for the evening’s entertainment.

Dinner was at another beach side location, at a restaurant called Hooks Hut. With an amazing location, we were able to chill at the restaurant / bar location right on the water. After a long day of action and beer, some headed back to the hotel for more casino action, and the rest headed off back to Mambo’s for more drinks and dancing! We would like to thank Bryan, Christian and Ingo for being our dancing partners!

Day 3 luckily started a little later, so everyone was able to have a leisurely breakfast before getting picked up to enjoy a day on a pirate boat!  Touring round some of the island, we stopped for everyone to do some snorkelling. The views under the ocean were amazing; not only were there hundreds of variety of fish, there was a boat wreck and various other shipping items to look at. Claire thanks her dive buddy Christian for helping her through the deep water!  After a BBQ on board and a few more drinks, the boat headed back to dock.

After a quick change, everyone headed for dinner in the Marriott Portofino’s restaurant, followed closely by drinks at the hotel beach bar.  Many thanks to Adam for his contribution to the evening - the sailor hat!  See pictures for evidence!  With everyone sad that this was the last night, we headed out to the old fort to go to a piano bar for more dancing and drinks. Thanks to the person who tattooed Claire’s arm with “Wish you were here”...it was a great reminder 2 days later when it was still visible!!!

After a very exciting, relaxing and fun few days, everyone headed home for some much needed rest.

Day 4 came, and it was time for everyone to say goodbye.  For those few of us left behind, we were very sad to see you all go.

We had an amazing time and have some great pictures to remind us of the good times.  Most of these you can find here.

Thank you to everyone who came with us, and made this one amazing trip!

Here are a few testimonials all about the trip:

Thank you Casino-Club for the wonderful trip to Curacao! You guys are all really nice and everything was perfectly organized. Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed the trip very much. The ATV-tour was awesome, just as the snorkelling in the blue sea - this is how to build a good and trustful business relationship! Very well done and a big MASHI DANKI!!!!

Dear Claire, Nicole, and Katerina,

I think I can speak for everyone when I say, thank you so very much for the opportunity. I know we all had a fantastic time and appreciate all of the work that went in to organizing and carrying out a great vacation for all of us.

Gentlemen, I had a wonderful time getting to know all of you. I greatly look forward to keeping in touch and working with all of you in the near future. Next time, I promise to find something other than a big flower pot to sleep in.
