Around the World with AffiliateClub.com
Our Dream Team at AffiliateClub.com comes from 5 different corners of the world, and travels together to meet at conferences (literally). Our Around the world trip began when we travelled from our respective homelands; England, Curacao, Czech Republic, Sweden and Spain.We all met up in London to travel to Macao, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Las Vegas. We took trains, planes, taxi, ferry and a bus before arriving at the beautiful Macau Venetian Hotel, where AffiliateClub.com made our first public conference appearance.
AffiliateClub.com we were happy to be part of CAC Macau and sponsored the GPWA’s cocktail party. CAC Macau was by no means an Amsterdam or London conference, and we had heard CAC Macau being compared to the size of the early affiliate conferences that were held in Las Vegas and Montreal years ago. We know that it is still early for Asia, but we are happy to be a part of Asia from the start, and we can look back and say we were here at the beginning. The Macau Venetian Hotel was a gaming learning experiencing in itself – for example the cultural differences of gaming in Asia where they drink green tea, while playing at one of the many Baccarat tables.
The Venetian Hotel with 3,000 suites, 350 shops and over 30 restaurants is the largest hotel we have ever seen. We didn’t see the light of day for three (3) days - no need to leave the hotel we had all we needed in one place.
On the last day of the conference we finally ventured outside The Venetian Hotel and visited Hong Kong, which was an amazing experience. A very busy city with people of every origin walking the streets, Hong Kong lived up to its reputation as being a large beautiful city, you can just feel the energy of the people, business and cultural. We enjoyed a day of great food and lots of shopping.
On our way to Las Vegas we had a long two day layover in Tokyo, although still in Asia, Tokyo was a completely different experience. The people were warm, friendly and the city was just beautiful and so orderly.
We then traveled on a nine hour flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas to attend the Pub-Con Conference only to relive December 3rd.
You know, Las Vegas is Las Vegas………We met up with a few friends from CAP and also had a great time with our friends from GamesandCasino.
